Jennifer Connelley made a great performance with Keeanu Reeves in The Day The Earth Stood Still. She really did great that I felt that the ending of the movie was somehow abrupt.
How I wish it should have been longer.

Jennifer Connelly was born in the Catskill Mountains, New York. She is the daughter of Eileen, an antiques dealer; and Gerard Connelly, a clothing manufacturer who worked in the garment industry.

Connelly’s paternal grandparents were of Irish and Norwegian descent, respectively, while her maternal grandparents were Jewish, their families having come from Russia and Poland. Jennifer Connelly was raised in Brooklyn Heights, near the Brooklyn Bridge, and attended St. Ann’s School, except for four years the family spent living in Woodstock, New York. One of her father’s friends was an advertising executive, who suggested that she audition at a modeling agency.

At the age of ten, Connelly’s career started in newspaper and magazine ads, then moved to television commercials. These led to movie auditions and her first film role was as “young Deborah Gelly”, a supporting role in Sergio Leone’s 1984 gangster epic, Once Upon a Time in America, filmed mostly in 1982 when she was eleven. She next starred in Italian horror-director Dario Argento’s Phenomena (1985) and in the coming-of-age movie Seven Minutes in Heaven.

THE DARK KNIGHT, INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL and IRON MAN lead the 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards after claiming this year’s (08) top nominations.

The three films will battle it out for favourite overall movie and favourite action movie at the viewer-voted awards, with honours being presented in over 40 categories.

Blockbuster stars Robert Downey Jr., Harrison Ford and Will Smith are vying for the title of favourite male movie star at the event, while Christian Bale, Brad Pitt and Mark Wahlberg are paired against each other for favourite leading man.

Smith will also compete for favourite male action star.

Meanwhile the nominees for favourite female movie star include Angelina Jolie, Keira Knightley and Reese Witherspoon.

Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson and Queen Latifah will compete for the favourite leading lady, while Cate Blanchett, Hathaway and Jolie will vie for the favourite female action star honour.

Comedic actress Queen Latifah is set to host the event, airing live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on 7 January (09).

Model Sophie Anderton was reportedly arrested after threatening that she would kill herself in front of her ex-boyfriend.

The former I’m A Celebrity reality contestant allegedly confronted Ed Buxton and told him “I’ll kill myself if you won’t take me back.

Mr Buxton reportedly phoned police after the 31-year-old turned up at his apartment block in Parsons Green, west London, at 2am demanding to see him.

The Changeling actress claims becoming a mother has not tamed her rebellious streak in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

She told the magazine: “I don’t walk around feeling I need to apologize or explain myself. “The 33-year-old actress — who is adamant she will never hide things from her children—has already spoken about the world’s conflicts to her young brood.

Jolie said: “Listen, my kids play video games.

I let them play with toy soldiers.

We don’t take war and violence lightly, but we don’t hide it from anybody.

Angelina Jolie was humbled by her recent trip to Afghanistan, because experiencing the strife in the war-torn country has shown her what real suffering is.

The “Changeling” star flew to Afghanistan last week as part of her role as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Refugee Agency.

During her visit, she met refugees who had just returned to their homeland to rebuild their lives following the downfall of the Taliban regime in 2001.

And the trip has left a lasting impression on Jolie.

She says, “After seeing real suffering, you never complain anymore.”

I never thought I could hear such an amazing feedback from a celebrity.

Wow, what a statement. It made me think. It made me wonder why I have been complaining about so many things in life when in fact I have a home to live, a safe comfrotable abode.

I think we just need celebrities like Angelina. A celebrity who can inspire people to have a different more human outlook in life—in this world.

Angelina is one of my favorite actresses. Sexy, daring, and very natural in her acting.

Angelina Jolie got a load of questions from her children asking why she and Brad Pitt aren’t married.

The sexy actress has three-month-old twins, a biological two-year-old daughter, and three adopted children> She and Brad admit the they have done everything backwards by having children before they got married; but insists she is in no rush to tie the knot despite pressure from her kids.
